Campus Life at ITITI
ITITI caters exclusively to children of economically disadvantaged tribal families, in dire need of support.
Music
We, at ITITI, believe in providing wholesome education and teach students to respect their origin and tribal cultures. Students are encouraged to learn music, singing, dance and other cultural activities for their comprehensive growth.
Library
ITITI has a well-equipped modern library for learning and study. Since the Institute is focused on information technology, a computer lab with Internet facility is available at all times for all students.
Sports
To promote physical development, we encourage active participation of our students in sports. We have a football ground developed at par with international standards and our school teams participate in various tournaments arranged by the state organisations.
There are regular morning and evening exercise programmes including yoga, meditation, outdoor sports like football, basketball, cricket, and badminton (indoor) and other activities.
Inter-school and inter-house competitions are organised from time to time to ensure that each and every student develops an all-round personality.
Achievements in Sports:
A)Our school football team has won under -14 district level tournament in the year 2008.
B)Three students of our school represented Uttarakhand State football team in All India Football tournament (under 14) held at Chennai in March 2015.
National Integration
To promote cultural exchange, we encourage students to be more open to all forms of education. Students from tribal and non-tribal communities meet frequently for healthy discussions and to exchange their views on multiple topics.
Art and Craft
Students at ITITI are encouraged to nurture their interest in painting and handicrafts and are specially trained to hone their skills.
Agriculture
Agriculture is backbone of tribal society, providing the people their daily means for survival. Here at ITITI, with the help of Union and State Governments, we teach students to value the labour of love – engage them in learning agriculture, floriculture, cookery and hospitality etiquette, which they can take up as a hobby or an occupation later on.
National Cadet Corps
We encourage our students to enroll under National Cadet Corps (NCC), which can help in grooming them into disciplined and patriotic citizens through basic training in small arms, parades and more.
Career orientation program
For the professional development of every student, eminent scientists, technologists, academicians and professionals visit us from time to time and help in shaping the career of our students.
Transportation
There is a School Bus and a Van to take care of the transportation needs of the students and the staff.
Post Office for ITITI
ITITI has been given a special branch Post office by the Government of India. It was inaugurated by Chief Post Master General of Uttarakhand, Colonel (retd.) Sukhraj recently in the benign presence of Vice admiral H.C.S. Bisht, Wing Commander Thapliyal, and many other dignitaries.
Medical Facilities
We, at ITITI, organise regular medical/health checkups at our school, in co-ordination with the local Government hospital for the benefit of our students and tribal youth.
