ITITI POLICIES

Our Policies

  • General


    The ITITI is a Residential as well as a day boarding School, all tribal students and members of staff residing on campus. The School has its own hostel, living quarters, kitchen, Dining hall, class rooms and laboratories and play ground.

    Transportation from the school to the approved and authorized events is arranged by the school where a bus and van are maintained.

    It is expected that strict discipline will be maintained and there will be compliance with the rule at all times in accordance with the following policy:


    • Strict discipline at all times, whether in classes, hostel, on the playground, on or off campus must be maintained with no exceptions. No rowdy or noisy behaviour, fight, shouting shall be permitted.
    • Students must be in a proper clothing school uniform according to the weather, on class days. The uniform is Dark grey trousers, light grey shirt, navy blue sweater.
    • Permission of the principal/Director of Residential program in writing is required for leaving the campus, abstaining from the class, use of the telephones and use of transportation vehicles, for events during school time or after school hours respectively.*
    • The students are responsible for safety and security of their personal belongings. The school will not be responsible for any loss or the property.
    • The school property must be treated with utmost care. Any intentional damage or vandalism would be at the cost of the student.
    • Borrowing and/or lending of money is strictly prohibited.
    • Utmost respect for the teacher, staff and administrator is expected; Students will not take law in their own hands and report any incident to the Principal for appropriate inquiry and action.
    • Leaving the class and/or not attending the class without written permission from the Principal is not permitted.
    • Students are expected to be punctual and regular to all events.
    • All students are expected to take part in all prescribed extracurricular activities, sports, games and other school activities for their own benefit.
    • NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, SMOKING AND ANY INTOXICATING ITEMS SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE CAMPUS, HOSTEL, AND CLASS ROOM AT ANY TIME. NO WEAPONS SHALL BE ALLOWED IN POSSESSION OF STUDENT ON CAMPUS AT ANY TIME. ANY VOILATION OF THIS RULE IN ANY SHAPE OR FROM SHALL BE CAUSE FOR REMOVAL OF THE STUDENT FROM SCHOOL AS WELL AS CRIMINAL PROSECUTION ACCORDING TO THE LAW.
    • Students are required to maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene at all time with clean clothing.
    • The Parents are responsible for making sure that his ward is in excellent health before a ending the school and the administration is made aware of any past history of illness that might need extra care, treatment or medication while on campus. Not doing this may put the student in danger of life threatening situations for which the school cannot be held responsible.
    • No student is allowed to receive money from any source directly without channelling it through the Principal.
    • No. Mobile/ expensive electronic gadgets e.g. IPods, Shall be allowed to the students in the school, and will be confiscated if found.
  • ITITI Academic Policy

    • A copy of the progress report shall be sent to the parents after midyear and final examination and after each of the quarterly exams in case of poor results.
    • Any violation of the ITITI Policy shall be a cause for removal of the student from the school permanently. The student may be held liable, in such a case for reimbursement of the expenses incurred by the school during his stay.
    • The student shall be required to attend all classes, take all tests and examinations and attend all laboratory session as prescribed by the teachers on a regular and punctual basis.
  • ITITI Hostel Policy

    • The Code: Students are not permitted to leave the campus at any time without the written Permission of the principal during school hours and the warden during all other times. Students are not permitted to be in the hostel during the class and other activities without written permission from the Principal. Any Violation of the rules shall cause for disciplinary action. Violation of ITITI Policy shall be cause for removal of the student from the school Cleanliness and personal hygiene in the hostel rooms, dining hall, toilets, bathrooms and hall way is required at all time.
    • Maintenance of silence and courteous behaviour to enable other to study and concentrate is extremely an important part of education and must be clearly understood and followed.
    • Asset Management: The ITITI operates by funds receive in cash and kind from several donors. It is extremely important for all to protect the assets and property of the school with utmost care and responsibility not to cause damage to the furniture, books and other items. Any violation will be treated very strictly and appropriate action taken to recover the cost thereof.
    • Visits: Due to strictly residential program, visits by parents and guardians are permitted on holidays, between 10.00am – 12.00noon through arrangements with the warden. Student may be allowed to visit their local guardians, who are in town, with permission from the warden. Friends and relatives wishing to meet the students must bring written permission from the parents from the Director of Residential programs. Parents and guardians can fix an appointment to meet the Principal or the Director of Residential Programs.
    • Health: Parents/guardians must ensure that the student is in good health before joining the Hostel. A medical certificate of fitness must be produced every year before the beginning of the session. ITITI has the collaboration with a team of good doctors and has a well-equipped medical room for any emergency and exigency. Regular medical check-up camp for the students is also organised every month.
